I have never seen an issue before when there is nothing blocking the signal. These are extremely sensitive units. You are welcome to return it for a replacement. There is a lifetime warranty on all electronics I produce.
Signal is fine.
I updated firmware and played with the Cisco a little bit and got it working. What I had to do was to set the Cisco to N only mode and I was able to see the SSID's I was looking for. Once association completed I was able to to go back to g/n mixed mode and still get successful association.
I was able to replicate the same issue with the Ubiquiti AP with the same resolution.
Association was also successful when I turned SSID broadcast back off. I wasn't able to get WPS to work, but it is evil anyway so no worries there.
I also noticed missing SSID's on my other EPS modules when I was using older SDK files. I may backrev one of them and see if the same steps resolves my issue there too.
Thanks for the cool new toy!
