Bug with SCP to ADF conversion?

Bug
Hi there,

I've noticed that when converting some SCP files to ADF the process fails halfway through (same point each time) with an "Unable to create new file!" error message. Creating the ADF from the original disk works fine however.

The SCP files I am having issues with are available from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0set4aodnws893...es.7z?dl=0

Kind regards,

Francis

I have never had this reported before.  I will check it out.

That message is return to the SCP software by Windows.  Are you trying to save to a protected directory, like C:?

No the directory is not protected (it's a folder on my desktop). I've been able to convert around 40-50 SCP files to ADF successfully, but those ones for some reason have failed.

Kind regards,

OK, the problem is that the .scp->.adf conversion does not support more than 1 revolution.  If the disk is index'd then any number of revolutions would work.  I will look at this, but I may just end up removing this feature completely because there is no ability to do retries to salvage a disk image.   Your SnoopDOS3.0 image will never work because it is full of errors.  This is why it is better to go from disk to .adf so that a salvage can be attempted.  You could use the HxC software in the mean time for .scp->.adf conversion of images.
