To update the firmware of your WiModem232 Pro, connect to the internet via your router, launch a terminal program and type:

AT*UPDATE<RETURN>

01/23/24 - v1.01
  • Added notifier to display when unit is not initialized.

  • Removed "READY" from display status when EEPROM CORRUPTED message is shown and WIFI user name and password have been set.

  • Reverted back to v1.00 code and changed how READY is displayed when the NVS is corrupted after the router user name and password have been set.

03/19/24 - v1.20
  • Changed method used for storing SSID and password.  This now allows using the CABLE (NULL modem)  mode without losing the last stored SSID and password information.  This change requires that everyone re-enter their SSID and password for this verison firmware.
  • Pressing the button while connected will immediately disconnect the call.
  • Pressing the button right after power-on will bypass the boot screen.

  • Added new function for negotiating progress (ATW). When ATW1 is selected the connection URL will be shown immediately following the CONNECT message. The CONNECT message may include the baud rate, depending the settings ATX. If ATV is 0 (verbose off) the URL is not shown, even if ATW1 is selected.

  • Added automatic ability to reconnect to the router when the connection is lost due to change of channel, renew of lease, power outage, etc.
