I have tried numerous times to down load the SCP program and install it, with no success. One such error was run time error 53, File not found FTD2XX.DLL. I asked my son, who runs a large IT department to try to get the SCP program to run and he informed me either the program was not compatible for Windows 11 or the program is missing some files. At this point I don't know where to start to get this program to work on my computer. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

The FTD2XX.DLL error is caused by not having the SuperCard Pro board plugged into your USB port. Install the software, plug in your board, and then run the SCP.exe application.

Downloaded the SCP program again and plugged the card into the computer using the USB socket and got the same error 53 message as before.

Are you doing both parts of the installation? There are two steps - one for the USB driver and one for the software itself. You are missing the USB driver. You can install this separately using the files from the manufacturer of the USB chip that the SuperCard Pro board uses. You can download that here:

THanks for you help Jim. My problem is that when I go to convert a disk I get only two options both at the "scource device and the target device" Those two options at both are Flux file or ADF file. As I mentioned in my e-mail to you, it's been years since I used the card due to floppy drives that I bought that failed so I put the card in storage. I converted half my amiga disks to image files when I first purchased your card, before the floppy drive gave up the ghost. I thought now was a good time to convert the remaining disks but it seems that the super card no longer works or I am doing something dumb that doesn't allow the card to function properly.

This means that the floppy drive is not recognized by the SuperCard Pro board. If the drive is plugged in and powered on (with the power to the drive) then it should be recognized. If you plugged the drive cable in backwards it will destroy buffer chips and the drive will not show up in the list. Look at the HUEY and DUEY chips. If you see any type of burn marks or spots, then they are damaged and would need to be replaced. If you take a close up high resolution picture I can tell you for sure.
Maybe your cable is bad and your original drive was fine?

Well Jim I took off the cables got another drive and tried again I placed the cables as shown in the manual and got the right solutions in the Source and target boxes but....the card heated up so hot I could barely touch it. If the card was not damaged before it sure is now. Thanks for your help, but I'll try to see if I can get these disks trannsfered over using the Drawbridge.

I can repair the card. I have a lifetime warranty on them. You just have to pay for the shipping costs to/from me.

Jim,
I have included the stamps needed to return my card inside the box with the card.
