WiModem shows NO WIFI now

Checking the manual, I may be experiencing the "too close" to my router problem? My WiFi6 router is a relatively new addition to my home network (purchased nearly a year ago) but the WiModem didn't have a problem with it before. I have a few C64s on my test bench which is 8 feet away from my router. Entering at*n does show all the available wi-fi access points. It just won't connect from this location it would seem.

I also have a wifi problem with my new internet box. I see my wifi network but I can't connect to it or I can't connect with it very easily. (WiModem232)
When I manage to do so, the next day I can't connect anymore. 
It's not a distance problem. I have more or less this problem with all my ESP-8266 based wifi modules. 
But I solved my problem with the addition of a wifi repeater, with these connecting  through the repeater.

Your router probably has auto-renew set to a very short period of time.

The auto-renew period is set to 24h.

Yeah, that is a short period of time. My router defaults to 3600 minutes.
