Yes. I have been waiting on the new RF module to finally be available. It has been delayed a year now. They are making large modules, just not the same size module (yet - it is on the horizon though). The difference is that the new RF module supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. Using 5GHz the latency between the WiModem and the internet is reduced. This greatly helps with file transfers where tight window protocols are used, like Zmodem. Zmodem was designed for a maximum latency of 50ms (some versions have even shorter latency requirements). The ping time from WiModem to router to internet and back can exceed 50ms and you end up with a retry during the file transfer. So, the 5GHz frequency option reduces the latency and makes transfers more reliable.
