BIOS for Amiga EMPLANT e586DX PC Emulator
#1
Hi Everyone,

Been trying to find a suitable BIOS for the e586DX PC Emulation and all the ones I've tried either just show a black screen or lock up after initialization.

Anyone have a source of a known good working BIOS for the PC Emulation?

Have tried some from here:
https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60741

but none seem to work so far...?

Thanks,
Robert

The BIOS file needs to be 64K in size. No other size BIOS will work. We used AMIBIOS or Sirus Bios.

You need a BIOS for a 486 or newer machine.

What would happen if I try to use a BIOS file that is not 64K in size, and is there any workaround for using a different BIOS version?

The size of the BIOS must be 64K, no exceptions.

Hi Robert, have you tried checking vintage BIOS archives or the official emulation forums? Sometimes older or lesser-known BIOS versions work better for e586DX emulation setups.

The BIOS will not load.

I found one of the BIOS files that I used when creating e586DX.
