I never populated the RAM sockets on the EMPLANT board. If I do populate this and the battery, does the EMPLANT/Mac emulation use these in any way. Does it add to 32-bit FAST RAM to the Amiga? Was auto-booting implemented?

No, this was only for the RAM drive on the Amiga side.

Does that mean AutoConfig would add the memory to the Amiga side as 32-bit memory?

No, this memory can never be added to the Amiga's memory map. It was strictly for a RAM drive.
