Blingboard Basic functions

Is the Blingboard BASIC limited to the patterns provided?  What function do the LED headers provide?  Can we use this to address the LEDs?  if so what protocol are they using?

There is no way to address the LEDs on the BASIC control board. Its functionality is hard coded and can not be changed other than by choosing the various programming options.
