Yes, that is correct. Jeff is opening the FTDI driver for the SuperCard Pro. I think he did this with the intent to support the SuperCard Pro hardware to read/write directly. This also happens with a8rawconv, Keirf's disk utilities, and any other program that uses the SuperCard Pro hardware. Only one program can use the hardware at a time, so when the driver is opened, it is locked so no other application can use it.
