Been using the SCP for years on my Commodore, but recently wanted to start playing around with my Kaypro.<br />
<br />
Starting off simple, I wanted to try backing up my Kaypro 2X boot disk to an SCP image, then write it out to a blank.  Kind of a proof of concept for me to verify that this thing works for Kaypro disks.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately I haven't had any success.  Perhaps the SCP isn't compatible with Kaypro disks....  I dunno.<br />
<br />
This is why I'm here.  If it doesn't support it, then so be it... but if it should, then could you please provide me with the appropriate settings I should use to backup/restore the disk?<br />

there are several GCR types so success of copying got farer away. And I couldnt answer the question how<br />
do they all flux/rawcopy with GCR coding? <img src="https://www.cbmstuff.com/forum/images/smilies/dodgy.gif" alt="Dodgy" title="Dodgy" class="smilie smilie_14" /> The answer came to me through long thinking and the <br />
Micropolis 1115-II handbook. Through a certain input over Shugard Bus the GCR coding can be deactivated <img src="https://www.cbmstuff.com/forum/images/smilies/lightbulb.gif" alt="Idea" title="Idea" class="smilie smilie_18" /> ,<br />
so MFM floppys can also be used for Fluxcopiing eg. cbm 8250 and all the 100TPI floppys.<br />

So far I got some "invalid index search" and an error after supercard found 100TPI due to termination signal i suppose,<br />
some documented settings on the floppy controller may also help to bring the 100TPI with Supercard to work.<br />
I'd not wait any further - its excitment!!<br />

I'm trying to image 3.5" floppies from a Tandy Portable Disk Drive (TPDD). It is an odd drive made by Brother for knitting machines that has an RS232 interface. The drive comes in two variations, the TPDD1 stores 100K on a single sided 3.5" DD disk and the TPDD2 stores a whopping 200K. I formatted a new 3.5" DS/DD disk on a TRS-80 Model 100 with an TDPP1. Then I wrote a few files to the disk and made sure I could read them back. So, I know I have a good source disk.<br />
<br />
I then make a flux copy with disk type set to 'IBM 1.44', Copy Mode to 'Index'. If I tried to use and analyzer to look at the data from Head 0 it was fine but if I tried Head 1 the SCP software would crash with an 'Error 9 subscript out of range'. (I'm 90% sure that was the error anyhow.)<br />
<br />
I then used the SCP to erase the disk, formatted it again on the TRS-80 Model 100 with the TPDD1 and wrote a few files to it.  I then imaged this with the same settings. I can use the Analyzer on this image file without it crashing so I'm guessing the garbage it was reading form the new/raw disk from Head 1 was throwing things off and after erasing it with the SCP it was now reading all zeros which is OK because the TPDD1 only reads the bottom, Head 0, of the disk.<br />
<br />
But even though the image was better it still does not work when written back to another new 3.5" DS/DD disk that I first erased on the SCP. <br />
<br />
The drive is not a normal 3.5" drive. It uses a 6800 based MCU (RAM/ROM/UART built in) and a few other chips plus a very simple mechanism. It is also FM encoded. When researching how the thing worked I did stumble across a flux copier project, that I had never heard of before (Flux Engine), that says it can copy these disks with a standard PC drive so I'm guessing a flux copy is not impossible but rather it is just an odd duck and I don't have the SCP software set correctly.<br />
<br />
Any help as to other things to try, other settings, etc. would be appreciated. The image I made of the working disk formatted on the TPPD1 is attached.]]></description>

I have a problem to copy bootable disk. I have Mitsubishi EDM machine. There are six disks. Four of them must be bootable. I can copy every disk and machine read the information there, but I can boot machine from disks. I copy cp/m disk with 360k density 40 tracks head 1 index than load info to a new disk. I know that there is a little difference in first track for bootable disks, but I don't know what exactly it means.<br />
I attached scp file. Can somebody help me?<br />

Since it seems to just be a constantly repeated pattern, I thought maybe I could just write all the same byte to a raw 360KB file disk image and then convert that to a floppy with SCP. But I'm a little confused as to what byte that would be — it calls it a "125kHz (2F) pattern" but the value expected to be read out is FFh rather than 2Fh.]]></description>

The drive is connected to an Okuma Campus 5000 CNC System an data should be recovered to allow drive replacement.<br />
As far as I know, the system works with SS and DS disks having SD and DD.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[I am considering purchasing the Supercard Pro.  Mainly to read Amiga disks.  But I also would like to read RX50 diskettes from a DEC Rainbow.  <br />

I have a few drives I can use an old Teac FD-55FR 720K 5.25 inch drive from back in the day when I used the Amiga to read MSDOS RX50's with CrossDos.  The Teac it has been probably 20 years since I used it last   so it may not even work.<br />

<br />
I also have a Canon MD7511-C6, 3.5 inch and 5.25 inch combination drive.  So hopefully between the 5.25 on the Canon or the TEAC I can read the RX50's on the SuperCard Pro.<br />
<br />
The RX50 format is:<br />

</li>
<li>10 sectors per track<br />
</li>
