Can I use the WiModem to connect to a Linux box on my network? I want access to the Linux CLI.

It's not likely that the WiModem (C64/128 version) would work.  You would have to make sure that the signals from the Linux box were EIA-232 and not RS-232.  If you need a RS232 version, I have the WiModem232 that you can use for this purpose.

I can connect to a Raspberry Pi via telnet, should be the same for any Linux variant?  from the comms program:
ATDT <IP Address of Linux bos>:23

Just like any telnet session/connecting to a telnet BBS.  Unless I have misunderstood what you need to do?
