Interesting....any options I seem to select locks up the C128.

Yes of course.      Striketerm loads ok.  The default "userport" modem setting works at 2400 baud and with Wibridge.  When I select a different modem type different things happen but all lead to the machine locking up.  I downloaded Desterm 3.02 (C128 mode)  it supports Zmodem and 9600 baud but I just get errors when transferring files, eventually the file transfer aborts.

Correct, the AT*SSID and AT*NS portions of these AT commands have to be capitalized with v1.7 and earlier firmware.

Can you or anyone tell me the best terminal(s) to use, version(s) to use, and place or link to download from?  The ones I have are not working like I would expect them too. Maybe that is the real issue?  I really want to get this wimodem working!

I'm using Desterm 2.0 for the C128.  For C64 I think Novaterm is best.

I haven't found Desterm.  I'll see if I can find it and use it.  I used Novaterm, but it keeps loading up in to a 80 column screen - at that point I can barely read it and I cann't get it to a normal C64 40 column screen...  Any help on setting up Novaterm properly?

CCGMS 2017 with mods by Alwyz is the best for the C64 if you don't need 80 column support.

Funny enough that is what I am trying to use is.. CCGMS 2017 and Striker 2014 final.

You mentioned mods?? for CCGMS?  are they already built in or do I have to put them in the same directory as program.
 
I guess with both CCGMS and Striker 2014... I guess I just don't have the correct settings.  One of them has User Port... the other one I have to pick a modem... I don't know... it's all odd that someone doesn't have the correct settings to share with everyone for these programs.. I feel like I can shooting in the dark just picking items.. most of which I thought didn't have to be messed with..  but I guess I am wrong..

Right now I just want to be able to upgrade my wimodem and get on C64 BBS...

I knoiw when I am trying to upgrade the wimodem I have to be in ASCII mode... but when I am jumping on a C64 BBS I have to switch back to Commodore mode.

Did you remember to enable flow control?  AT&K1

When I enable that, Zmodem transfer does not initiate.  Actually I seem to be having a number issues when in 9600Baud.  Various lockups with different terminals. 

So far the fastest I'm able to transfer is with Snapterm @ 4800 baud using Xmodem.
