My setup :)
#5
I've more-or-less finished building my SCP box. Smile

This is the casing with the power supply and fan removed so that I can do some modifications. I needed to do some drilling and didn't want metal fragments getting in to the power supply.

Power supply and fan have been reinstalled. On the left is a panel I've added with a couple of USB connectors that connect to the computer. The panel is only made from clear plastic and I want to replace this at some point with a metal one once I've found something suitable (hence why I wasn't too bothered with the cutting being a bit of a mess). On the right is a switch that allows SCP to switch between its normal and firmware update modes.

Inside view of the casing so far.

The bottom layer. This has a 3.5" to 5.25" drive bay adapter with 2x USB ports fitted with a memory card reader and additional USB port. The SCP had been velcroed to the rear of the memory card reader. You can also see the internal USB hub velcroed to the base and is fitted with a 64GB USB memory stick.

The middle layer. Another 3.5" to 5.25" drive bay adapter with 2x USB ports fitted with a Samsung SFD-321J 3.5" floppy drive. I originally had a Teac FD-235HG fitted, but after reading in these forums about how good the Samsung drives were supposed to be I opted to fit one of these instead (I was not disappointed! Wink ).

The top layer. A Teac FD-55GFR 5.25" floppy drive.

The fully assembled casing. Smile
