I keep Getting NO ANSWER when dialing out.

I am on and Atari St computer system.  I am running 2 BBS system on the WinModem323 with no problems. But when I try to connect out with my terminal software. Freezed Dried Terminal every time it says NO ANSWER.   I have 3 modems. 2 Winmodem323 and 1 WiModem232 pro. This happens on all the them. I can connect with any other telnet client from a pc and others can connect to my BBS system. I just cannot connect and get a NO Answer. Any suggestions?

Are you entering the URL correctly?

You can not have a space character between the 'T' in ATDT and the URL. For example:

ATDTGOOGLE.COM:80

That will always connect to google's server (just like you were to visit www.google.com). However, putting as space after ATDT like this:

ATDT GOOGLE.COM:80

...that will not work.

Try connecting to google - that will always be available.

If that does not work with the proper data then you might check your terminal program to see if it is doing some odd character translation instead of outputting standard ASCII.
