Cannot get into command by with +++

Hi,
just connected my WiModem232 to my WiFi. Connecting using Terraterm using Telnet to its IP/port number shows Connected in the OLED screen.
Entering +++ in TerraTerm does'nt put me in the command mode. What am I doing wong?
