New Cases for the WiModem232

This post is to outline the trials and tribulations involved in getting a case from Thomas AKA COREi64, and how the final result showed me that there are still honest, caring people out there who are not looking to rip you off but are instead truly concerned with the satisfaction of their customers.

I ordered a WiModem232 case from thomas for my OLED WiModem232.  It shipped from Canada all the way down to me in Southern California, so it wasn't particularly inexpensive, but it was fair considering the circumstances.

When the case arrived I was very excited and took a few pictures, put my modem in the case, and screwed it in using the supplied allen wrench.  Until I heard this "crunch" noise and realized to my horror that my screen had cracked.  I took the case apart and examined it carefully and discovered that the space left for the screen in the case was too small.  I thought about writing a public message because I was pretty upset, but decided to give Thomas a chance to make it right.

He did more than make it right.

1. He immediately researched the issue and discovered that Jim was using a slightly different model of screen than the previous batch of WiModem232s, which is why the case dimensions weren't quite right.
   
   
   
2. He gave me a $50 credit on buying anything I wanted from his COREi64 store.
   
   
   
3. He had me ship the faulty case back to him, and sent me money via PayPal to pay for the shipping.
   
   
   
4. He shipped me a new case with the correct dimensions for my modem, free of charge.
   
   
   
5. He had me buy a new WiModem232, and sent me money via PayPal to cover the entire cost including shipping, in exchange for me sending my broken WiModem232 (of which he also paid for shipping) so he could test the new case design and make sure it didn't happen to anyone else.
   

In my opinion, this is the epitome of first class service and concern for the customer.  No business, large or small, has ever taken care of me as a customer to the extent that Thomas did.  I personally intend to go out of my way to purchase stuff from his store in the future, if he happens to produce something I need.

Here is my new WiModem232, living happily inside its new grey COREi64 case.
