Always Run SCP in Administrator Mode - Avoid Auto Update/Config Issues
#1
With Auto Update support now released - you may encounter an issue with auto-updating your SCP software when using Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1

This is due to security features built into those operating systems that protect certain types of files in the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders.

You can get around this headache by setting your shortcut to SCP to always run as an Administrator.

Follow these steps and ensure you perform this function on the shortcut only. If you perform this on the actual executable file, the setting can be wiped out after the next update. Only perform this function on the shortcut.

Step by Step:
1: From your desktop or start menu
2: Right click on the shortcut icon
3: Select Properties from the context menu
4: Select the Compatibility Tab
5: Place a check in "Run this program as an Administrator"
6: Click Apply

See attached images for visuals.

Now launch SCP from the shortcut and run the update.
You should not encounter any issues and the new version should load once the download and update is completed.
