I have a plain C128 with just a uIEC plugged into the IEC port, and the uIEC seems to work just fine even in 128 mode. I am having other problems, however.
1) Is it possible the UP9600 problem in 128 mode is limited to only some 128s?
2) If I'm not experiencing trouble with the drive(s), does that mean I don't have to worry about disabling the hack?
On the subject of drive types, I have not yet tried an actual disk drive, but elsewhere in the forum someone said that their uIEC was affected, so I'm not sure I need to specifically test that. But maybe it's also the case that I just haven't run into the IEC problem yet. When it affects a system, is it intermittent or constant as long as the WiM is plugged in?
