Do you need a modified drive for C64 disks ? - SunDown79 - 10-08-2020

I have tried looking for this answer but couldn't really find it.
So my question is, do you need a modified 5.25" drive if you want to read C64 disks ?
If you need to flip it over manually that is no problem at all.

No, you don’t need a modified drive in order to read either side of any 5.25” disk. You just need to make sure that the drive you are using has the ability to ignore the index pulse. Most drives work without any changes, but some require changing a jumper setting. You don’t need a “flippy” drive.
