Just a note to let everyone know that if you are using telnet translation (required for some portals that are not BBS's) you MUST turn it OFF (AT*T0) before you go attempting to connect to a BBS and download files. If you are having problems with file transfers even starting up (at the first block), check to make sure the translation mode is set to 0!
