I considered making an external enclosure but I REALLY wanted internal so I can have everything all in one. Got fancy with card reader on one of the drives. Here is the shot from the front. Everything up and running. So much nicer than bare board and cables all over my desk.
This is before a bit more cable management for all that extra crap above the PSU. Had an extra plastic sled that I put the SCP on to insulate from the case and then used kapton tape to secure it down to the sled and sled to case. Not the most secure but more than good enough for a giant tower that rarely moves. And yes, that's 5 years worth of dust I should have cleaned up before taking the pic.
Glad to see you used some Kapton tape to insulate the bottom of the SCP board.
