Hello,
I Have the original game The Blues Brothers and would like to duplicate my keydisk.
I tryed with Kryoflux (stream preservation format) but my copy don't work (keydisk not found ... )
I would like to try with my supercard pro but I have the same problem , keydisk not found (with both index and slice method).
Keydisk seems to be 360ko 48tpi 5.25".
I also tryed with Teledisk and Copywrit under Real DOS.
I think it is a problem of Index but don't know how to duplicate. On the forum of Kryoflux nobody help , Guru just say "with IPF it is easy" .... of course.... Thanks ...
If someone can help me to duplicate my keydisk , THANKS !
Have a nice day.

Make an image of the disk using SPLICE mode (2 revs) and send it to: data @ cbmstuff.com
I will look at the disk to see if anything is odd.

Hello,
Just for imformation , Use latest version of the very good "PCE - PC Emulator" with copy protected floppy (keydisk).
http://www.hampa.ch/pub/pce/pre/
Use PFI.EXE with your SCP flux :
> pfi disk1.scp -p double-step -r 600000 -c 0-39 -p decode pri disk1.pri
> pri disk1.pri -p decode auto disk1.psi
After what mount you floppy by modyfing configuration file.
Thanks Hampa.

To dump track 40-41, there is another method.
Example : disk1.scp (Dumped image from Track 0-83 on 1.2MB 96DPI 5.25" drive)
pfi disk1.scp -p double-step -r 600000 -c 0-39 -p decode pri disk1mfm.pri
pfi disk1.scp -p double-step -r 300000 -c 40-41 -p decode pri disk1fm.pri
pri disk1mfm.pri -m disk1fm.pri -p decode auto disk1.psi
Also it can be converted to TC image.
pri disk1mfm.pri -m disk1fm.pri disk1.tc
To remove comment on image or position, you can use the following.
psi disk1.psi -p comment-set "" disk1.psi (* Remove comment on image)
psi disk1.pri -e position -1 disk1.psi (* Remove sector postion on image.)
Use PFI.EXE with your SCP flux :
> pfi disk1.scp -p double-step -r 600000 -c 0-39 -p decode pri disk1.pri
> pri disk1.pri -p decode auto disk1.psi
After what mount you floppy by modyfing configuration file.
Thanks Hampa.

Your software and informations work very well.
Blues Brothers and Flight Simulator work very well , it is really impressive.
I don't know if jeff_hxc2001 contacted you but he wanted to add your disk format into his converting software ?
(hxcfloppyemulator at
http://hxc2001.free.fr/).
I think it is a good idea, but he need technical information about psi format.

I also have Blues Brothers (Titus).
Copy protection area is on Track 39/1/1-10, 247 (Sector 247 : CRC-DATA)
It can be copied by TC or SCP perfectly. (with 1.2MB drive)

I know with MAME and the systems I use that are emulated under it, the HFE format is recognized. The filename just has to be renamed from filename.hfe t filename.dsk .
Those transitions have made migrations of software from emulation to real hardware much easier.
